This page explains what information Clarity Tech Co collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We’ll keep it simple — no legal jargon.
Who we are
Clarity Tech Co is a web design and SEO business based in Southern California. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at hello@claritytechco.com.
What information we collect
We only collect information in two situations:
When you fill out our contact form — we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever details you share about your project. We need this to respond to you and put together an accurate quote.
When you visit our website — we use Google Analytics, which collects anonymous data like which pages you visited, how long you stayed, and what device you used. This data is not tied to your name or identity. It just helps us understand how the site is being used so we can make it better.
What we do with your information
We use your contact information to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to manage your project — things like sending proposals, invoices, and updates. That’s it.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with outside parties except the tools we use to run our business (like our email provider), and only when it’s necessary to do so.
We do not currently send marketing emails or newsletters. If that ever changes, we will only reach out to people who have explicitly opted in.
How to opt out of tracking
If you’d rather not be tracked by Google Analytics, here are a few options:
You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which prevents Google from collecting data about your visits on any site that uses Google Analytics — not just ours.
You can also enable “Do Not Track” in your browser settings, or use a privacy-focused browser like Firefox or Brave, which block many third-party trackers by default.
If you’ve filled out our contact form, there’s no way to opt out of that — we need a way to get back to you. But you can always ask us to delete your information (see below).
Your rights — including how to request your data
You have the right to know what information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or request that we delete it entirely.
To make any of these requests, just email us at hello@claritytechco.com. We’ll look through our records — emails you’ve sent us, your contact form submission, and any project notes — and respond within 30 days.
If you’re not a current client, we’ll delete your information upon request. If you’re an active client, we may need to hold onto certain records until your project is complete.
California residents (CCPA)
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights — including the right to know what personal information we’ve collected about you, the right to request deletion, and the right to know that we do not sell personal information. We don’t.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@claritytechco.com. We’ll respond within 30 days and won’t treat you any differently for making a request.
How long we keep your information
If you reach out but don’t become a client, we’ll keep your information only as long as it makes sense to follow up. If you become a client, we hold onto project records for a few years in case questions come up after the work is done. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If anything significant changes, we’ll let current clients know directly.
